Importance of Screening for Colon Cancer Ann Brown was diagnosed with colon cancer and given a 50% chance of surviving when she was 54 years old. In this video she speaks about her diagnosis, fears, treatment and return to health. Hal Zalmanowitz, who may have avoided colon cancer through screening, also offers insights on his experience. Ann and Hal share this video with Dr. Clarence Wong, a gastrointestinal oncologist, who provides advice on risk factors and how to protect yourself from developing colon cancer.
