Events - RISE 2010: Appetite for Adventure

RISE 2010 Satisfied Appetite for Adventure and Need for Funding

RISE ResultsRISE - Appetite for Adventure, the national fundraising event series for the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation (CDHF) brought together an enthusiastic group of people with a desire to help the 20 million Canadians who suffer from digestive diseases in Canada. This year, events were held in Ontario and Alberta at the end of September. The Ontario team, sponsored by Abbott Canada, raced, hiked, biked, caved and paddled through the sun and rain in Collingwood. To the west, our group in Kananaskis raced to be the "first to arrive" in Alberta's Amazing RISE Race event.

The foundation extends its sincere thanks to all of our participants and donors. We raised over $105,000 with more pledges still coming in. These funds will be used to support CDHF awareness, education and research initiatives which are empowering Canadians to take control of their digestive health with confidence and optimism.
